A study by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has found that mice's natural defenses against pre-cancerous cells was boosted by 400% when they were prescribed a combination of caffeinated water and exercise. The mice were given doses of caffeine and ultra-violet radiation associated with skin cancer. Meanwhile, another study found that red wine boosted incidences of cancer among 500,000 Europeans. MinuteClinic announced it had opened its 200th clinic, and reiterated its plans to enter every market where CVS/Pharmacy stores are located. "By the end of 2007," said Michael Howe, MinuteClinic CEO, "we expect to have more than 400 MinuteClinic locations and longer term, based on consumer demand, we expect to have MinuteClinics in over 2,500 CVS/pharmacy locations."
