Frequently Asked Questions

What is a discount medical program?

Discount medical programs (DMPOs) connect members to pre-approved, discounted providers.  Essentially, you pay a monthly fee to join a provider network. In return, you receive discounted rates with these pre-approved providers but still pay all of the discounted prices out of pocket. Depending on the plan, DMPOs may offer discounts on services from pharmaceuticals to doctor visits to dental care.  DMPOs are not health insurance and do not reimburse doctors, hospitals or other providers for any care you receive.
