Employers have been turning to high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) in large numbers as health insurance costs escalate. Enrollment in HDHPs that qualify for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) has tripled over the last two years, and premiums for these plans have remained steady while traditional PPO and HMO plans have seen double digit increases in premiums.
