Are there any other caveats?
DMPOs offer immediate discounts and require minimal paperwork. This makes DMPOs convenient, but this also limits your ability to appeal if there’s a problem. If you mistakenly visit a non-network provider, you will pay the total, undiscounted price. Because of this, you may want to verify that your provider will accept your card when you make an appointment.
Even if your provider accepts the card, you will pay all of the discounted costs yourself.
